  1. I do agree that there is a lack of compassion when it comes to the aging. There should be something that can be done to make sure that these things do not happen, but; where does it start? Whose responsibility is it to ensure that ones house does not get foreclosed on. I am pretty sure that if you look back in the history of the 26 years that this couple has lived there has been some decision that was made that catapulted this couple into this situation. It doesn't have to be recent, it could have been 10 years ago, but something contributed. Also, where is family when you need them? Surely there must be some family somewhere that could have assisted this couple...if not, what about friends? All I am saying is that the foreclosure process does not start today and end tomorrow so what happened from the beginning to now is where the true story lies.

    Don't get me wrong, is this sad, YES absolutely very much unfortunate, but could it have been prevented..YES, without knowing the whole story I would have to say absolutely.
